A Piece of Paradise

Lovely home. Gorgeous views. Plunger pool a nice way to cool down and relax. Drive up is steep but roads are good. 1/2 way up is a pub "Jolly Roger" with the best wings and burgers! We have enjoyed our week stay and will bring home wonderful memories! Pura Vida!

Incredible Views, Peaceful Surroundings!

Our first stay at this incredible little private, one-bedroom getaway villa. A perfect place to enjoy this part of Costa Rica and one of the most INCREDIBLE ocean views at 1,500 feet elevation. Sunsets year round!!! And at that elevation, keeps temps cooler than directly on the beach! This is the rainy season in CR and we got rain, but what an amazing getaway with both sunny and rainy days mixed in, and lots of Toucans to boot! The villa is well appointed, modern and well taken care of, with free-of-charge workout facility and tennis court really nearby, a great welcome and concierge service with Richard and Kat! Pura Vida!!!

Amazing honeymoon

We spent our honeymoon at Seawind and had an incredible vacation. It is the most secluded and private villa which was exactly what we were looking for! Seawind has the most breathtaking views that we have ever seen and on top of that you are in the jungle and can experience all the sounds and wildlife (howler monkeys and toucans especially). We loved that the villa was in a gated community as we felt very safe and comfortable. All the amenities that you need are included and the team at Dominical Information are there immediately if you need anything. Seawind is very clean and exactly as described. We also were very appreciative of the welcome fruit and champagne that we found when we arrived! Close to Dominical - a small surf town that exceeded our expectations and even had vegan/gluten free market and cafe to enjoy. The road up to Seawind is definitely an adventure, but we thought it added to the whole experience. Absolutely a couple's paradise and we hope to be back soon!

Takes your breath away.....

The view at this romantic villa takes your breath away. From the stunning nightly light show over the ocean, to the clouds rolling in over the tree canopy, to the parrot and toucan visitors, to the band of coati that come through each today, but especially to the peaceful view of the Pacific Ocean upon waking, this villa gives you a fantastic sampling of what the south central pacific zone has to offer. The drive up and down the mountain certainly takes your breath away with not just the beauty, but the danger of the steep ascent and descent. It adds to the flavor, but is scary! It becomes a little less daunting after your second or third trip, but this is real Tico life! Be sure to get groceries before heading up the first time! House is well appointed and has everything needed. Wireless is spotty, and is best in the morning. Pool is amazing and perfect for two. Grill is great and most of our meals were cooked on it. Guard at the entrance was always welcoming and helped the feeling of security in such a remote place. House is perfect for a romantic get away to a place of peace and solitude. You're 15 minutes away from town if you need other human contact. :-) Highly recommended!!!!!!

Beautiful, private and safe.

My wife and I chose this property for our 10 year anniversary, and could not have been happier. It was fantastic. The views, the house, the ammenities were all great. We felt very secluded and safe. We did not see any sloths or monkeys from our house, but there was a wide variety of birds to look at. Bring some binoculars if you can. The managing company was very helpful. It was quite the drive up the mountain. It took about 15-20 minutes to get either up or down, so try not to forget anything on your way out. : ) You definitely need a 4x4. We rented a dihatsu terios that worked like a mule, but did very well considering the conditions. And be sure to brush up on your Spanish. If you go during this time of year it is hot. The a/c was a life saver. Enjoy. Pura Vida.

Privacy In Paradise

This Villa is perhaps the most remote and private location you could ever imagine. It is the perfect location for couples who either just want to relax and enjoy your downtime or as a romantic get-away, with no interruptions from other vacationers. We found ourselves waiting for the sun to come up in the morning so we could sit out in awe of the view, enjoying our coffee and time alone. We spent every morning in the pool taking in the natural activity of the jungle with everything it has to offer. If anyone is looking for a romantic setting, just for two, stop right here! it has everything a couple could ever wish for.

This place will take your breath away!

My husband and I arrived the day after Christmas for a week's stay through New Years. We were so thrilled to have rented this home. We wanted a private getaway with peace and quiet and this was it and more. Katherine escorted us up the crazy road and our jaws dropped when we turned into the driveway and caught the view for the first time. It literally took my breath away. On two acres you have ultimate privacy and a plunge pool all to yourselves to watch the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen in my life. The sounds and the bright, beautiful colors that surround you bring you instant peace and tranquility. We were so relaxed for the 6 nights we were there, I slept like a rock! You wake up to that amazing view that is exactly like the pictures and "life is good!" We appreciated the kitchen and found it was stocked with everything we needed. We used the tennis rackets and had fun playing tennis a few mornings. The gym has simple equipment to suffice a good sweat. We enjoyed some lazy days staying at Seawind Villa and playing cards (there is a deck there btw) and lounging in the plunge pool watching toucans, butterflies, monkeys, hummingbirds, dragonflies and on and on. Open the door as you shower and you will see all the fireflies in the field in the evening. It is totally amazing! The road is pretty crazy and we laughed about the Costa Rican massage you got every time you adventured up and down it. 4x4 vehicle is essential. Best beach that we loved was Playa Ventanas (the windows). We sat under the palm trees and had fun watching locals BBQ and play music. The best ceviche can be found on that beach as well. It was crowded in Dominical and Uvita as we were there on holiday week so we were even more thrilled to have Seawind Villa to retreat to at the end of the day for sunsets and cocktail hour. It is also fun to watch the whale's tail appear at low tide. The view seriously never gets old. We loved our getaway to Seawind Villa and would stay there again in a heartbeat! Thank you Brad and Tracey!

Wonderful experience

My husband and I just completed a 16 day stay at Seawind, and it was a great experience. We both wanted a quiet, chilled out stretch of time where we could escape from the demands of our jobs. At Seawind we got it. When there we had moments when we felt we were the only people in the world. The house and property are beautifully maintained and the setting is out of this world. And yes...the first drive up the mountain is pretty scary for a couple from the flat mid-west...but by the end of the trip we were pros. Loved the tennis courts played every morning. The owner is wonderful to work with communicates quickly via e-mail. If you rent seawind you will not be disappointed. We will definitely return.

Verry happy

We were pleasantly pleased with the Seawind home! We have stayed at several rental homes in many countries and this one is up there with one of our favorites - primarily as it is well maintained and clean. The simplistic design/size is different for what we usually rent but it was just perfect for a couple and really worked out well. The view and privacy could not be beat! Definitely a long drive up, but well worth it. We stayed at another property of the same era for the second week and we very disappointed... The maintenance and cleanliness was so inferior, even though a much bigger house and pool. The touches such as the shampoo, conditioner, fruit and champagne were greatly appreciated! Katherine and Richard were very helpful and made everything go smoother. The dive trip we scheduled through them was a great group - "Mad about diving" and would recommend their services also. We would definitely come back to Seawind and appreciate the owner and representation of the home!

We had a wonderful time. Seawinds is everything the Internet suggests and more. Privacy and quiet every day. No neighbours close by to distract or take away from the moment. As we expected, the drive up and back became a bit of a chore after staying a month but the villa was worth it. It's well maintained and the owner was a pleasure to deal with. We will be back for a repeat visit as soon as we can.

Beautiful view

What a wonderful place to spend Christmas and New Years. The villa is exactly as the pictures show. The view is amazing. Having the toucans visit every morning and evening was a special treat. The villa has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The drive up takes about 20 minutes from the highway. Once you've done it a couple times it really isn't a big deal. The ladies at Dominical information ( Kathryn and Lily) are great. Thank you Kathryn for your help with booking tours for us. Richard organized our SUV for us from San Jose. The price was exactly as he quoted us. Also GPS is a big help getting in and out of San Jose. The drive to the villa was really easy. Three hours from San Jose. Although going to the villa took longer as we stopped to look at the crocodiles and pick up a few groceries. Do eat at the Jolly Roger pub as they really do have the best wings. Also eat at Por Que No. Good food with a nice view. Good public beach down below the restaurant. Thank you Brad for such a lovely villa. The champagne and fruit was a nice treat.
